Youth Apprenticeships provide invaluable access to diverse career pathways to high school and college aged participants with opportunities to gain education credits, certifications and beneficial on the job learning. H-CAP has supported youth apprenticeship programs that give high school students the skills and experience they need to obtain jobs in the healthcare sector. H-CAP partners conducted outreach into high schools, worked with education providers to ensure skills match employer needs. All programs contain a bridge or pre-apprenticeship component to help ensure student readiness and success. H-CAP has developed a compendium of success stories to highlight successful youth apprenticeships across the country including information on program origination, establishment and resources that could provide vital funding support.
